Senate Unit Approves Vote for 18 Year Olds
The Senate Judiciary committee approved a constitutional amendment granting 18 year olds the right to vote. The joint resolution, by Senator Moody, must pass both houses and be ratified by 36 state legislatures to become part of the Constitution. The amendment would prohibit age-based voting denial and authorize Congress to enforce it by law.
