Danbury Democrats moved ahead of Republicans in recent voter enrollment periods with four nine hour sessions yielding 5 604 Democrats and 5 507 Republicans. Deaths of voters moving away affected totals. district by district tallies list men and women in each seat. The figures come from Republican Registrar Chester B Ruscoe after consultation with Democratic Registrar George Flynn.

Card Party to Aid Nurses Sick Fund at Elks Home

The Danbury Hospital Alumnae association hosts its annual card party to benefit the nurses sick fund. It will be held Wednesday at 8 p.m. at the Elks home. Prizes at each table and special awards will be given. Refreshments will be served with senior attendees expected.

Milford Hospital Auxiliary hears talk on Hypnosis and You

Andrew Hansen, New Haven vice president of the Association of Advanced Ethical Hypnosis, will speak at Milford Hospital auxiliary on February 1 at 8 p.m. in the hospital auditorium. He is a former Connecticut chapter president and author of The Art of Retaliation. The auxiliary also set qualifications for a senior scholarship for junior hospital aides requiring two years of service a monthly duty and a B average checked by floor nurses.

Y's Men Sponsor Milford Music Festival February 10

The Y's Men club will sponsor the Milford Community Music Festival on February 10 at Milford High School, with a 7 30 concert and 9 30 p.m. dance featuring The Highwaymen from Wesley Law University. Tickets are available at the YMCA and Howe's Drug Store. Committees have been named for Arctic Engine Company's eighty first annual ball on March 3 at Smith's Wonderland ballroom. Lt. George Johnson is chairman with Capt. Joseph Borack as ex officio.

City to Fast Track Acquiring Norwalk Tract for NRA Plan

Norwalk officials plan immediate condemnation to seize a two acre tract bounded by Franklin Clay Spring and West Washington streets for sale to the Southern New England Telephone Co as part of the South Norwalk renewal project. Negotiations on five acre parcels continue while appraisals set by February 10. The Telephone Co aims to build a new West Washington exchange by June 1, with city financing an estimated 350 000 dollars.
