Workman Dies After Arm Severed by Belt at Bronze Plant
Elias Pocsay, 42, of 349 Bpruce Street, died at 7 45 p m after his right arm was torn from his body when his clothing was caught in a belting wheel at the Monu mental Bronze Company plant on Howard Avenue. The accident occurred about 7 50 a m as he attempted to free the belt from the wheel with no other worker nearby. Despite first aid and surgery at Emergency Hospital, and transfer to Bridgeport Hospital, doctors could not save him. He also suffered rib fractures and other injuries.
