An open gas jet was in the room and emergency crews, including Dr J A Maxwell, treated her at Bridgeport Hospital where pulmotors and artificial respiration were used. Doctors expected she would recover.

Adrift on Sound for 20 Hours After Propeller Jam
Two lighthouse assistant keepers William Proumuka and Harold Hobson, both of this city, were adrift for about 20 hours on Long Island Sound after their cabin cruiser’s propeller jammed. They endured exposure and hunger, reaching Port Jefferson and then Bridgeport before medical care. Boston January 20 Flying squadrons of revenue agents will be organized to protect New England and New York state against violations of national prohibition laws. William J.
