Brockton shoe maker Farnum told the National Boot and Shoe Manufacturers association that a new customer class will emerge from 16 to 21 year olds leaving school who will wear men’s sizes. He predicts manufacturers must educate them to buy these grades and that prices may rise slightly next season but not enough to dampen demand.
