Local attorney withdraws action seeking $50000
Yesterday in Superior Court clerk announced the suit of Heap Greenstein against Cantfield and others for damages of 5000 had been withdrawn from the docket. The move surprised many in the bar as three plaintiffs and two defendants were well known. A related civil action involving Bridgeport figures and accusations of defrauding Nickels over proceeds of Patent sales was investigated with no criminal charges found against the lawyers. A parallel suit by Andrew B. and others remains pending, expected to illuminate the larger transactions when tried.
