Put To Plea At Opening Of Superior Court
Eleven defendants were arraigned as the January term of the criminal side of Superior court convened before Judge James C. Shannon. Four pleaded guilty including Albert Turgeon and James Dambrauskas for breaking and entering. Seven pleaded not guilty and elected trial by jury, with others named for aggravated assault, rape, narcotics, and breaking and entering. Sentences for guilty pleas set for January 15.

Raymond J Martin 35 Stratford fined 27 for speeding and others from Stratford Stepney Trumbull Fairfield were fined for violations including no insurance stop signs and red lights. George Tara sevich was fined 50 after being found guilty of evading responsibility. At Pallee headquarters Judge John J Sullivan disposed of breach of peace and disorderly conduct with suspended sentences and probation.
