Referee Keogh presided over two bankruptcy matters yesterday. Bridgeport Tube Warts owned by George S and Roy L Youngs faced 249287.02 in liabilities with 225225 in assets as a final 21 percent dividend to Roy Al and 24 percent to George L. Public sale of the United States government property will take place at the Government warehouse in Boston and Seaview avenues on Thursday and Friday, March 18, at 11 o'clock each day. The catalog includes hot and cold rolled steel, forged, chrome, high speed, drill rod, machine and plate steel, brass, aluminum, bronze, copper tubes and bars, fittings, bolts, rivets, washers, pipes, and steel tubing. Oils, paints, belts, rubber, chemicals, electrical equipment, and miscellaneous factory supplies will also be sold. An exhibit of materials will be shown at the warehouse on March 16 and 17 from 10 am to 4 pm.
Permits to erect and repair buildings were issued by the building commissioners last night to Bridgeport Castings at 270 North Avenue and the Bostwick estate at 1389 State Street. Bridgeport Castings plant was completely destroyed a month ago. Bostwick estate building damaged. Other permits include alterations to 1129 Main Street for Alling Rubber, roof over veranda at 103 Continental Street for Antony Filpno, Gellar addition to Knowlton and Ogden streets for Standard Bolting, and frame addition with front veranda at 204 Wheeler Avenue for Marta Heposito. Total value of last night’s permits $25,950.
