Germany Held American Army Too Cheap Says Germany
Chicago February 22. Germany erred in underestimating American resolve and business support for the war effort. Waddill Catchings of New York, head of the US Chamber of Commerce war service, told the National Security League that business men back taxes, price controls, and war measures with deeds as well as words. He noted sons serving and fathers eager to support.
