Gardiner Man Pleads Insanity After Fatal Shooting
John F. Holland of Attleboro Mass shot his wife twice then killed Fred Marden of Concord Mass who came to aid her in Gardiner Maine. Holland pleads not guilty by reason of insanity and is held for the April grand jury. Mrs Holland expected to recover. Police say jealousy and divorce proceedings preceded the attack. Marden was a carpenter on local bridge work and lodger at the Curry home.
