New Haven AP The Appellate Division of Circuit Court ruled that a car owner is not automatically liable for accidents caused by another driver using his vehicle. The decision overturned Judge Monchun's finding that Albert Salyb and Florence Fitzgerald were both liable for damages after a collision with Helena Markin. The panel held only proof of agency was FitzGerald driving Satryk’s car on January 28, 1965, not that Satryk was responsible.
