Smoking Not Yet Condoned Habit Among West Coeds
Berkley, Cal Feb 14 Smoking has not become a habit or a condoned fad among women students at the University of California. Olive Presler, president of the Aquacrated Women Students said most of the five thousand women she knew had never smoked. She noted smoking is not allowed in sorority houses or women’s clubs and the code of honor bans the practice. A Western Intercollegiate Association conference discussed smoking and concluded there was nothing to fear from college women in the West.
