Body of J Knight Bacon Recovered From Housatonic River
Stratford police recovered the body of J Knight Bacon, 1584 North Avenue, Bridgeport, from the Housatonic River near the Stratford side of the railroad bridge. Bacon, 37, who had been missing since November 12, 1924, was identified by visiting card and Elks papers. He served as an engineer and was a lieutenant commander in the Navy during the war. The body was found lodged against an abutment after a break in the river ice during recent rains. He planned to visit the public library to return books carried under his arm. Burial will be in Oakcrest Cemetery tomorrow.

In San Quentin prison Herber Wilson, a life termmer and ex minister, confessed to a leading role in the Charlotte Kine Palmer jewel heist in New York. PATERSON New Jersey February 13 Miss Florence Loeffler 23 was arrested today as one of three young women who robbed Justice of the Peace Ralp Markno while he escorted them to Garfield homes after meeting them near here. Police say the women stole Markno s pockets in a cafe on the way home. They took a $60 gold watch and chain and 34 in cash. Loeffler was taken to Garfield where she is held.

Hartford Man Dies After Fall From Moving Train
John Carey of Hartford died after leaping or falling through a lavatory window on a moving New York, New Haven and Hartford train near Stamford. He died at Hartford Hospital at 1:30 pm from a fractured skull. Carey had recently been in Atlantic City for amnesia treatment, traveling with his wife and brother.
