Salvage Claims Filed Over Rose Way Rescue near New Haven
New Haven February 12 AP Claims for salvage were filed by the New Haven Towing Company and crews of three tugs who pulled the Newark and Boston freight steamer Rose Way from rocks off South End yesterday. The Rose Way was beached at Mulat Belle dock. A libel was placed against the vessel, a keeper appointed, and the action returnable to the U S court. Authorities suspended the ship's certificates after a survey showed extensive damage to the power plant making sea travel unsafe.
