60 Would Be Officers Fail in Their Studies
Camp Devens Massachusetts February 11 Special About 40 students in the school for commissioned officers have fallen by the wayside either faking to be returned to their original companies or being advised to transfer. The training is hard yet officers say Uncle Sam will reap a fine crop of lieutenants within a few months. The school enters its final three months course with ongoing review. Candidates have learned soldiering from squad to battalion and received classroom study plus field practice in fighting, loading, formations, patrols, map work, and skirmishing.
