City Names Director of Renewal and New Development Dept
The Redevelopment agency named William C. Warner urban renewal director for the new department of Community Development in Dearborn. Mayor Curran also created a unified department bringing planning zoning redevelopment and code enforcement under one administration. Joseph M. Dearborn was advanced to development administrator and will lead the combined department while remaining city planning engineer. Warner will earn 16500 dollars and assume duties including overall supervision of zoning urban renewal open space and related tasks. Dearborn's duties include coordinating activities with the mayor's office and maintaining the planning engineer role. The reorganization preserves separate commissions while consolidating staff under the new department. Warner’s appointment to urban renewal takes effect March 9 with arrival anticipated February 26.

School Budget Move Disclosed at Hearing
