Batcheller Victim of Pneumonia in Providence Era
Byron G Batcheller 2, manager at the New York office of the American Chain company, died Monday night at 1000 Norman Street after weeks of influenza and pneumonia. He was born in Providence and had lived in this city about 12 years. He worked for the Chain company in New York for six months after a long stint at their plant in Connecticut Ave. He earlier worked at the George Batcheller Corset factory and belonged to Modern Woodmen of America. Survived by wife Bessie, an infant daughter, and his Los Angeles-based parents and siblings. Funeral Thursday at 3:30 p.m. at the family home. Burial in Mountain Grove Cemetery pending arrival of relatives.
