Oswald Imber 60, president of Imber Associates Inc of Ta Tracy Ta Versed his earlier plea of innocent. He and co defendant Jerome Kerim 36 were accused of falsely labeling 22 shipments as asbestos blocks to obtain lower freight rates. Federal authorities said they saved 17000 between July 1965 and February 1966. Kerim resigned two years ago as expert manager of the firm and pleaded innocent earlier.
Alba Italy authorities report 30 tons of truffles found this season by trained cocker spaniels around Alba, the truffle capital. One 14 pound specimen was sent to a gastronomic festival in England and was not returned.
