Stratford delays budget talks spark council friction
Stratford town discusses Hunter proposed 1922 24 budget, with council criticizing secret publication while taxpayers receive the tentative figures. Town Manager Hunter says the 1931 1992 budget is provisional and subject to revisions, and a council meeting February 4 may address changes including a fire department pumping engine purchase. A tax club service and Stratford Trust Company grants will fund new local buildings and tax payments.
