Three Transports Reach New York With 250 Aboard
NEW YORK, Dec. 29. The United States transports Sherman Cartago and Sixaola arrived from France bringing about 250 officers and men of the army and navy and a quantity of equipment and explosives. The Cartago and Sixaola left Bordeaux December 16 and returned three hours apart. The Sherman came from Marseilles late this afternoon. Officers on the Cartago included three brigadier generals and several division leaders. Major H. Nelson Jackson, wounded at Montfaucon, wore a sling. a shell fragment killed the wounded man. On the Sixaola were Lt Col John B. McCord and several majors and lieutenants, including Lt Valentine A. Browning, son of the Browning inventor, demonstrating the weapon before allied officers.

Three Injured In Auto Crash At Street Crossing
Three persons were slightly injured in a two car crash at Maplewood and Laurel avenues at 4 30 yesterday morning. Edward Bjorklund of 342 Kings Highway Fairfield was taken to St Vincent s Hospital with shock and facial lacerations while Joseph Valentine of 44 Elm Street and BE H Kelly of North Main Street were treated at the Emergency Hospital for minor injuries. No arrests were made. Bjorklund drove east on Maplewood Avenue with his young son as a passenger. Valentine drove north on Laurel Avenue. Kelly rode with Valentine. Both cars were badly damaged. Emergency hospital was alerted and Dr B J Burns treated the victims before Bjorklund was removed to the larger hospital.

Roller Skating Accident Severs Boy Injuries In Bridgeport

At Camp Devens in Ayer, Massachusetts, Captain Walker Camp Jr., son of Yale coach, arrived among 100 wounded officers treated today from the 28th Division.
