Bridgeport milk distributors press for lower January prices after negotiations with New York producers led by A W Mitchell of Mitchell Dairy. A New England Miles Producers association agreed to a one cent per quart cut, with distributors promising to pass savings to consumers. Boston dealers did not drop prices this month, while Bridgeport and Southern New England dairies did. The Frisbie Pie Company also cut product prices from 28 to 25 cents per item.
Catherine Traiden Tanerence Lawrence widow of William Lawrence died from gas heater asphyxiation in a small room at 43 Stratford Avenue. New York December 2 A federal judge ordered the $150 million Rockefeller and other former directors suit to be discontinued noting the outcome is a private settlement where individual defendants pay $2.5 million to the corporate defendant with fees and expenses to be covered. Three lines of the New York New Haven and Hartford system derailed last night three miles east of Danbury.
