Manchester Denies He Broke Faith In Kennedy Manuscript
William Manchester issued a public defense against Mrs. Kennedy's lawsuit to bar his book Death of a President. He claims family authorization for publication in early 1967 and serialization in Look magazine. The Kennedy side contends he breached a memorandum of understanding requiring their approval before publication.
