Housing Woes Mount in Nation Study Details 13 Million Affected
The two year study by the Joint Center for Housing Studies at Harvard and MIT finds 13 million Americans face housing deprivation due to inadequate units high rents and overcrowding. The report notes 7 million households live in inadequate housing 5 million pay excessive rent and 1 million are overcrowded. Regions like Arizona Colorado and Florida show highest growth while New York New Jersey and Pennsylvania lag.
