Stratford School Board Urges Tax Vote for New High School
The Stratford board asks voters to approve a special tax to raise 45000 for a rear school section now and front work already bid at 220000, 75000 for a wing, to complete a modern high school. Plans aim to ease overcrowding and provide a junior senior facility while preserving tax impact and state aid. Fire locks and weatherproofing are installed at several schools, and a large American Legion ball in Stratford is expected to draw a crowd, with veterans urged to apply for hospitalization ahead of January 1 deadline.
