Troopers Seek Mediation Over Meskill Salary Talks
Hartford AP report that Connecticut troopers will ask Gov. Meskill to intervene in salary negotiations with state officials. The talks consider a one step pay boost, with estimates from $332 to $740 per trooper, while leaders push for a three step increase to near $1,500. CSEA says no progress and notes troopers already staged a work slowdown to press demands.

The study, by 25 local business and civic leaders, was prepared with Nash King Associates of Chicago, which also worked on the Etherington Commission.
