Hartford Restores Diplomatic Ties With Romania
Hartford Mayor George Athanson announced that diplomatic relations with Romania are restored after talks with Ambassador Bogdan and Romanian President Ceauescu. A reception was planned at Bradley International, but a last minute cancellation and taxi suggestion followed a State Department note that Ceauescu would meet only briefly and not at Hartford. Ceauescu met President Nixon amid talks of increased Romanian oil exports to the United States.
