Kidnap suspect halted after FBI chase and shootout

Federal charge framed against Daly as kidnapping case erupts into a high speed pursuit through the Los Angeles area. An intermediary, Red Tracton, said he delivered $250,000 in $26 bills to the kidnapper but fled when police closed in. FBI agents employed controlled force to stop the suspect with a child shielded inside the car, resulting in a crash and injuries to bystanders. The boy was recovered unharmed but distraught, asking for his mother, as investigators prepare for a penalty hearing and public safety questions linger.

Suspended Driver Is Sent to Sail

Stephen Reed, 30, of 473 No Weavenup, jailed after failing to pay a 300 fine from a guilty plea on driving with a suspended license.
