Norwalk reports that Jesse Devine a Waterbury lawyer and upstate Democratic leader is charged with converting 3500 dollars belonging to Daniel C and Ellen Lyons while acting for Lyons in Waterbury Criminal Superior Court. Lyons claims 1500 was posted by Foxbanks for Devine to secure his appearance. Lyons was jailed for a year in 1924 but has since served. If true the case involves legal ethics and a grievance committee will review.
