Danbury officials ordered a two room portable school building from Eagle Construction of Bridgeport to ease overcrowding at Locust Avenue. With church-property rental delayed, the portable solution was chosen as the only practical option. The district already operates a Balmforth Avenue portable and the new unit should arrive within days and be ready after summer vacation.
