Rum Runner Crew Members Admit Part Involved in Fire
Three injured men from Sag Harbor Long Island admitted they were crew on a British schooner running rum under a German charter. They said gasoline exploded on a fishing boat named Tennie beside the schooner, burning them severely and sending them to a hospital. The men claimed to have been fishermen from Sag Harbor and said the Tom August carried 16000 cases of whiskey and champagne from Bremen, sailing for Valait.
