New York August 11 AP Wall Street saw mixed trading as high priced industrials led gains and declines. General Railway Signal hit a record high after a strong midyear earnings report, while American Can Gentral Electric and Westinghouse moved, and auto stocks faced renewed price cuts amid weak second quarter results.
Stock prices moved irregularly lower on the curb market with heavy liquidation in Public Utilities shares. Samuel Insull warned, while Middle West Utilities fell nearly eleven points and other utilities dropped two points or more. Oils slid after a 25 cent per barrel crude price cut. Redbark rose five points, narrowing losses from yesterday. Industrials posted new 1925 highs for Nizer A and 7 at 63 1 2 and 69 3 4 respectively.
Butter and cheese markets steady with creamery and state whole milk flats listed. Bee market easy, potatoes and sweet potatoes showing steady tones, dried fruit firmer with prunes and peaches cited. Poultry prices mixed with broilers and fowls steady, turkeys and ducks varying. meatless but grains and beans noted with various price ranges.
New York metal market reports copper in rectrolytic form steady or mixed spot and futures around 1473. Tin quoted easy with spot and nearby at 5875 and 5850 futures. Iron steady with prices unchanged. Zinc steady in East St Louis with spot and futures at 757 and 7.60. Antimony at spot 1850 with 9 18.25 futures or nearby.

Several company bonds gained as shares darken. Pan-American 68 and Skelly 61 25 down 11 4, Sinclair 6s down a point. Railroad notes mixed. Southern Pacific 4s, Pern-Marquette refunding bs, Northern Pacific 4s, Southern Railway general 6s and Florida Western and Northern 7s showed firmness, while Wabash refunding 1 28, New Haven convertible 6s, Great Northern 6s, Penn Central 41 20 and Western Central 4s moved fractionally. Public utility mortgages quiet. Public Service Electric Power up one, Niagara, Lock and Ontario 58 minor gain. Cons Power and New York Tel refunding active. Foreign obits dealings light. Hungary 71 28 fractionally lower. Offer of 8,000,000 Laclede Light bonds quickly absorbed.
