Death of George Gray Former Delaware Senator and Judge
George Gray 86 a retired United States judge and former Senator from Delaware died at his home in Wilmington at 4 15 pm. He served 14 years in the Senate and held prominent roles in arbitration and diplomacy including work on the Paris peace talks and the North Atlantic Fisheries Arbitration Court. Born in New Castle Delaware in 1840 he studied at Princeton and Harvard, practiced law in Wilmington, and was Delaware Attorney General. He was active in Democratic national conventions and supported the government during World War I. He was married twice, to Letta L Black and later Margaret J Black.
