Sheriff Captures Friendly Bear Martha in Nebraska
Adams County Sheriff Bob Anderson and deputy Jake Thiels chased 400-pound black bear Martha for about two hours after she wandered from Grover Stapleman’s donkey operation. Martha tangled in barbed wire and a tree trunk before being roped and hauled two miles toward Stapleman’s place, then given a ride by a farmer. The sheriff commented on his unusual bear capture.
