Father Cleary 61 Dies in Georgetown Rectory
The Rev Joseph Francis Cleary pastor of Sacred Heart church Georgetown died suddenly yesterday in the rectory. He was born in Winsted and educated at local schools St Thomas Seminary Hartford St Bernard's College Troy and trained at Sainte Sulpice Paris. He was ordained in 1933 and earned a canon law doctorate in 1936. Burial and services pending.

Youth Is Held In Slaying of 3 Calif. Girls
Sheriff James Geary announced the arrest of Karl F. Werner, 18, a San Jose City College student, in the knife killings of three high school girls near Saratoga. One victim Kathy Bilek, 18, the others Debra Furlong, 14, and Kathy Snoozy, 15, were found with 200 stab wounds apiece on August 3, 1969.
