In Waterbury on April 27 AP reports ex Governor Charles A Templeton faced stern cross examination by attorney Michael V Blansfield in City Court while testifying against Charles Kumpis charged with reckless driving and drunk driving. Kumpis was fined 50 dollars plus costs and sentenced to ten days in jail. the case stems from an April 1 collision between Templeton s car and Kumpis machine.
Vital statistics note a son for Charles and Katherine Jeliffe of 82 Smith Street born April 24 and a daughter for Chester and Violet Tease of 1 Ams Street born April 16. Marriages recorded include John Fagan, 36, of 421 State Street wed to Frances Penny, 25, of 411 State Street, and Edward J Kuban, 23, of 184 Orland Street wed to Anna Lone, 21, of 192 Orland Street.
