Mary Garden former Chicago grand opera director will mount a sixty minute concert tour of the American stage this fall, announced by concert manager Charles L. Wagner. The plan follows her resignation from the Chicago company and is set to bring a major recital program to venues nationwide.
Thousands pack the Park Theatre to see Louis Blumer present Natureopathy claims. He asserts dramatic cures, paralyzing arms move, deafness vanish, and nerves steadied in brief treatments. Tremendous enthusiasm marked the meeting of the First district women held at the home of Mrs. H. Willard Leck in Lafayette Street. Members pledged to help in the Community Chest drive and Mrs. Martin R. Meyers was elected chair of the district committee. All workers to meet with John Hines Thursday night for work outline.
In Milford April, Special John Tickey of Bridgeport Albert Clark of Milford and Ha Heap of Cheshire were fined 10 each for saving improper registration cards. I Berman of Bridgeport paid 12.45 costs for insufficient rights. Judge J D Brown Jr reserved decision in the Maxisson versus Sarah Hines case involving a property sale dispute.
Twenty one members of the Acorn A C on Kossuth street were arraigned in city court yesterday for gambling. Archie Cameron, alleged proprietor, was fined 100 dollars and costs and filed an appeal. Three others were fined 20 dollars and costs and sixteen were fined 10 dollars each.
