Red Cross announces extended filing deadline for Massachusetts Blaze bonus applicants. Ex service men and women entitled to the bonus may apply at Red Cross headquarters in Golden Hill street Court House In Golden Hill strat. Bring discharge certificates to complete applications.
Major Leon Frazer of New York named district manager for the New York office of the Veterans Bureau by Director Forbes. Frazer formerly executive officer at the bureau’s Central office in Washington and will replace Henry G. Opdyke who resigned. The appointment signals potential further New York office reorganizations as the division oversees New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut with about 1600 staff. Frazer served in the Thirtieth Division during World War I and later held roles as assistant judge advocate and service of supply before being discharged in 1929.
Albert Bosquet, 39, a painter, was found dead yesterday morning in a Cottage Street rooming house. Investigators believe he inhaled gas in a suicide attempt. police were notified by a neighbor.

Jewelry valued over 500 dollars reported stolen yesterday from the home of Joseph Palaseak at 728 Stillman Street. Entry described as made in the absence of the family by key workers. Items include a lavallier with tin diamonds in platinum, a gold watch and chain, two diamond rings, and a case of miscellaneous jewelry, plus 3.50 in cash.
Members of the Rotary club met at weekly luncheon at the Garfield Hotel yesterday noon. President George Waldo Jr presided. Plans for the club's activities for the year were discussed.
