Dorothy Ellingson a 17 year old who killed her mother January 14 was found insane by a San Francisco Superior Court jury. The verdict commits her to a hospital for the insane with the murder case held in abeyance. If ever reversed she may be tried for murder. The jury verdict was 11 to 1 insanity and she fainted as the verdict was read. The defendant opposed insanity pleas and faced the prosecution on the issue.
Westport report states Samuel Sachs of Bridgeport was arrested on a road rule violation for a truck with no mirror and improper lights. James Grant of New Haven was arrested for driving a truck without a mirror. State Policeman Steve Stanton made both arrests.
