Former Bridgeport Man Takes His Own Life in New York

Raymond Rice, 33, formerly of Bridgeport and New Haven, killed himself yesterday in a furnished room at 234 East 4th Street, New York, shooting himself with a revolver. He left a note saying he was ill jobless and friendless. Police found a Brotherhood of Electrical Workers card among his papers. His mother previously died in New Haven, and a physician’s bill with a New Haven address was found among his effects.

Henry J Blake dies in New Haven former Yale graduate

Henry J Blake, oldest Yale graduate in New England, died at his New Haven home at age. He graduated from Yale, practiced law in Bridgeport, and served as clerk of the Superior Court of Fairfield County. He contributed to city building and was a longtime member of the local park commission. He leaves a son and a widow.

Curtis R Hathaway Dies in Pinehurst

Curtis R Hathaway of Boston and Litchfield, organizer of General Motors and the Chevrolet Company, died of pneumonia in Pinehurst North Georgia Wednesday evening. He was born in Connecticut, educated at Amherst and Columbia, served as GM treasurer, retired for health, then rejoined the auto industry with Chevrolet.
