Springfield's oldest 33rd degree Mason dies
Edmund F. Kendrick 74, former Springfield mayor and 1884 85 state legislator, died after several days illness in Borengfield hospital. It states the children of Mrs George J Gould formerly Guinivere Sinclair Clearse Sinclair Jane Sinclair Gould and Guinivere Gould are children of one Guilivers Sinclair and were born during the marriage of George J Gould and Edith Kingdon Gould and prior to Edith Kingdon Goulds death and before the marriage of George J Gould to Guinivere Sinclair. The answer also alleges that the said children have no right or interest in the Jay Gould estate and that they are not the issue of George J Gould within the meaning of that word used in the will of Jay Gould deceased.

Three boys, including Matthew Nezelus, 17, of Olden Street, plus two minors, were arrested for theft from a house on Sheridan Street.
