The Superior Court in Bridgeport begins hearing City of Bridgeport versus T A Scott Co of New London on a 58000 claim for damages after a seawall at Sea Side Park was destroyed in a severe storm two years ago. The city alleges contractor responsibility for defective workmanship and damage to 3825 feet of wall. The Scott Co argues the storm caused the destruction and that workmanship was not at fault.

Derby May 20 A N Potter state board inspector says Derby evening school for foreigners which recently closed has been judged a success and will receive state aid. The report lauds John Lund superintendent and Carl White principal for their work in establishing and operating the school.
