Thousands Attend Circuses in Wet West End Parade
Thousands of Bridgeport residents joined Barnum Bailey Ringling shows on the circus lot in West End. Rain marred the parade and crowd turnout, yet the pageant featured three bands, three calliopes, elephants, camels, and a nations-themed display. Police maintained order as umbrellas shaded spectators under a damp, baseball-like atmosphere.
