SONS OF ST GEORGE PARADE AND BANQUET PLANNED
Bridgeport lodges of the Order Sons of St. George have completed plans for a Welcome Home parade and banquet for returned servicemen July 1. More than 350 will march. the route runs along Fairfield avenue Courtland to State Main and back to Stratfield. Banquet at the Stratfield with speakers Rev A C Campbell J Woods Mayor Wilson Chief Justice Wheeler and Judge Beers.

Hundreds of Herring Gather at Silver Beach
At Silver Beach on June 26 residents rushed to the shore with dishpans and other receptacles to scoop up herrings by the hundreds. A large school became stranded in a pond hole between flats left by the receding tide, trapping fish four to seven inches long and attracting eager beachgoers.

Samuels Co Inc Denied Injunction Over Abrams Case
Judge Walsh of the Common Pleas court denied the injunction sought by The Samuels Co Inc against Aaron H Abrams. The action claimed Abrams was to manage a store for one year starting September 5 1918 with a five year non compete after employment ended. The court sustained the demurrer and ruled the restraint unreasonable, thus giving judgment for Abrams.
