Reduction in corn makes deliveries jump
Chicago June 18 Estimates that planted corn land in the eight largest states had been reduced about 8,000,000 acres this year pushed corn prices to the day’s highs while oats finished higher and provisions varied. Bearish hogs and foreign lard weighed on the market as traders reacted to government acreage estimates and weather effects. Cotton spot remained quiet in New York at middling 32.60.
