Vanderlip paints somber view of Europe trade revival
Washington June 5 Frank A Vanderlip former president of the National City Bank of New York told the Pan American conference that trade between South America and Europe cannot resume soon as the European situation is more serious than many realize. He warned the continent hangs on a knife edge and that aid must come through industrial restocking by its own people while unemployment payments in England and Belgium illustrate widespread labor collapse.
