Plans for promotion of several members of the Police department and a six day work week for 45 high er rank members will be considered by the Board of Police Commissioners at a meeting tomorrow night in headquarters. James Tait, president, declined to specify the exact number to be advanced but said lieutenants sergeants and a night captain from the eligible list will be recommended. Superintendent John A. Lyddy met with the commissioners to review vacancies and the board will refer the required number of men to the Civil Service commission.

Brothers Held On Tax Charges In Hartford Case
Jacob Bick and Isadore Bick, brothers aged 84 and 59, are charged in Hartford with filing fraudulent corporate income tax returns to evade taxes. They face plea and existence on Monday before Judge J. Joseph Smith in the U S District Court. The 1941 return showed a loss of 15.60 and no tax due, while the government says 3,405.68 was due on 13,036.64 profit. The Rev John C Glynn native of Bridgeport and St Augustine's parish assistant died last night in St Francis hospital Hartford after a three week illness. He served as assistant pastor of St Mary's East Hartford since 1936 and held positions in the Matrimonial court later Promoter of Justice. Survived by a brother and three sisters, services set for Tuesday.
