Coal Miners Heritage Festival Heads to Bridgeport Saturday
The 2005 Coal Miners Heritage Festival returns to Halsell Street and Harwood Park in downtown Bridgeport. Sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce and Historical Society, the event blends Coal Miner’s Day and PumpkinFest with industrial roots on display. Activities start at 9:00 a.m. with Hassell Street closures from 6:00 p.m. Friday to 5:30 p.m. Saturday plus vendor setup. About 50 vendors have confirmed participation.
