James E. Bunnell and Tom Brookman have opened law offices on Hassell Street next to Bridgeport Insurance Agency. The firm will be Brookman and Bunnell with another office in Fort Worth. Mr. Bunnell is a Paradise native and is Ida Harlan’s brother in Bridgeport.

SCS men present Lions program in Gainesville

Dale Allen of Gainesville and Albert Scott of Bridgeport, both with the Soil Conservation Service, spoke at the Lions Club on the Salt Creek Water Shed flood prevention program now underway and answered questions. Program chairman was Bill O'Dowd.

Rural Mail Carriers Annual Convention Held In Bridgeport

The 13th Congressional District rural mail carriers met in Bridgeport for their annual convention. New officers elected were J. L. McClung as President and John Loftin as Secretary-Treasurer. Principal speaker was Oliver Boyd of Dallas. Postmaster Ed Cowling gave the welcome. Harlan Bridwell welcomed the group. McClung served as master of ceremonies. Carl Yeager of Whitesboro delivered the response.

Harwood Elected To Represent Small Cities

Mayor H. R. Harwood elected as one of two leaders to represent towns under 10 000 at director meetings of the North Texas Council of Governments. The council includes community leaders from ten North Central counties such as Dallas and Tarrant. Mrs. Belle Belvins has been ill and in a Fort Worth hospital.

Baccalaureate Services for 1966 Seniors Set May 25

Baccalaureate services for the senior class of 1966 will be presented Wednesday night May 25 in the High School Auditorium. Guest speaker will be Bro Ira Wolfe pastor of the Cates Street Church of Christ. Gene Johnson will provide special music. Commencement exercises follow Friday May 27 at 8 p.m. in Bridgeport High School Auditorium.
