Rural Water Corp Adds New Members
About 25 rural residents applied for membership in West Wise Rural Water Supply Corp. The nonprofit reopened the $50 membership period ending August 10 as it seeks a Farmers Home Administration loan to fund a Bridgeport area water system. The group now has about 275 members and warns late applicants face $350 fees.

Keith Parker, East Texas State University graduate, is hired as eighth grade coach at Bridgeport Junior High. He will coach football basketball and track and assist seventh grade coach Dewey Sims. Swimming Pool Re-Opened After Pump Replacement
The city pool reopened after a weeks long closure due to a broken pump. A new pump is installed and functioning. Pool hours run 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. on weekdays and 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays. The pool will be closed Wednesdays. Admission is 25 cents for under eighth grade and 50 cents for older. Robby Renner Dies Of Injury
Robby Renner son of Mr and Mrs Gordon Renner of Bridgeport died Friday at 2 30 am at St Josephs Hospital in Fort Worth. He had fallen from a bicycle hitting his head on a curb and underwent brain surgery at St Josephs after transfer from Bridgeport Hospital. Funeral services were held at Cates Street Church of Christ in Bridgeport with interment in Chico Cemetery.

Mosley Family Returns From Trip To Africa
Rev Joe Mosley and his family return from a four week visit to Monrobia Liberia where Rev Ben Mosley serves at the Ricko Institute for one more year. The institute, run by the Liberian Government, has enjoyed support from the Southern Baptist Association for a decade. The Mosleys were impressed by local customs and culture.
