A $50 Braniff Airlines contribution plus other fund-raisers push the Scotty Johnson Fund to 3060. Alvin Bilby Dies In One Vehicle Crash Near Graford
Alvin M Bilby of Jacksboro was killed early Tuesday when his pickup overturned near Graford. Funeral services were held Thursday at 10 a m in First Baptist Church Jacksboro with interment at Mountain Home Cemetery. He was 37 and had managed Runaway Bay stables since opening. He is survived by his wife Lelia Vene four children Melissa Alvin Jr Misty and Heath and two brothers Rex Bryson and Rollins Bridgeport. Funeral arrangements were made by Hawkins Funeral Home Jacksboro. Two Injured In Auto Mishap Near Balsora
Two people were hurt in a two vehicle crash about nine miles south of Bridgeport near Balsora. Mrs. Sid Brantley suffered broken bones and both victims remained in fair condition the following morning. Brantley attempted to enter her driveway from the south, crossing into a northbound pickup. The accident was investigated by Highway Patrolman Harold McFerrin Deputy Don Norman and Patrolman Gene Szczepinski.
